This project required titanium-stabilized 321 stainless steel seamless pipe for elevated-temperature process service associated with a heat-exchanger system. The buyer needed the correct product standard and dimensional series, not merely a grade name, as pipe and heat-exchanger tube have different standards and acceptance requirements.

| Item | Project Requirement |
|---|---|
| Destination | Vietnam |
| Material | 321 / UNS S32100 / EN 1.4541 |
| Product | Seamless pipe |
| Standard | ASTM A312/A312M or A376/A376M |
| Ends | Plain or beveled |
| Inspection | MTC 3.1, dimensions, NDT/hydrostatic test as ordered |
| Quantity / Delivery | 135TON/85DAY |
The system designer selected a stabilized stainless grade to reduce sensitization concerns in elevated-temperature exposure. Risks included confusing pipe with ASTM A213 heat-exchanger tube, using the wrong schedule, omitting end preparation and failing to define pressure-test or NDT requirements.

Add the actual fabrication, pressure-test and delivery outcome when documented.

321 is stabilized with titanium and is useful where post-weld elevated-temperature exposure makes sensitization resistance important. It is not automatically superior to 316L in chloride corrosion and is not normally selected for highly polished decorative service.
Send service temperature, fluid, design code, product form, standard, size, schedule/wall, length, ends, tests and quantity.
