The customer required stainless steel spring wire for repeatable coiling and forming. Successful supply depended on grade, wire diameter, tolerance, tensile-strength range, cast, helix, surface, lubrication and package format. Shangyou therefore treated the wire as a production input rather than a commodity defined only by diameter.

| Item | Project Requirement |
|---|---|
| Destination | Mexico |
| Application | Industrial compression/tension springs |
| Material | 302, 304, 316 or 17-7PH |
| Standard | ASTM A313/A313M |
| Surface | Bright, soap-coated or customer-specified |
| Package | Coil, spool or carrier |
| Inspection | MTC, diameter, tensile, surface, cast and helix as ordered |
| Quantity / Delivery | 95TON/68DAY |
The wire needed stable feeding and spring-back behavior on the customer’s equipment. Procurement risks included selecting a grade without defining tensile range, receiving packages incompatible with the payoff system, uncontrolled cast/helix and surface defects that could initiate fatigue cracks.

Add actual machine-feeding, forming yield, spring-test and delivery feedback

304 is common for general corrosion resistance; 316 can be preferred for more aggressive environments; 17-7PH may be considered where higher strength and heat treatment are required. Fatigue life depends on design, surface condition, forming, residual stress and service—not grade alone.
