Corrosion Environment: TP317L provides considerably higher resistance to sulfuric acid than 316L. In sulfur-bearing gas condensation environments, 317L offers much greater resistance at the condensation point than 316L. Strong oxidizing acids such as nitric acid may still cause attack.
