S32760 (UNS S32760, EN 1.4501, Zeron 100) is a high-alloy super duplex stainless steel with a dual-phase microstructure of approximately equal austenite and ferrite. What distinguishes S32760 from S32750 (2507) is the intentional addition of tungsten (0.5-1.0%) and copper (0.5-1.0%), which further enhance resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and sulfuric acid environments. The high chromium (24-26%), molybdenum (3-4%) and nitrogen (0.2-0.3%) content provides a PREN (Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number) of ≥41.
ZERON 100 is the registered trademark of Rolled Alloys Inc. for S32760. This grade is not recommended for extended exposure above 300°C (572°F) due to toughness reduction from intermetallic phase formation.
