904L Stainless Steel Sheet and Pipe Supply for Chemical Processing

Shaanxi Shangyou Stainless Steel Co., Ltd. supplies 904L / UNS N08904 sheet, plate and pipe for chemical-processing and corrosion-control projects. A mixed package uses one approved grade designation but separate product standards: ASTM A240/A240M for flat products and ASTM A312/A312M for applicable pipe supply, with the edition and manufacturing route defined in the purchase order. Dimensions, finish, quantity, heat identity and processing are controlled by order line. This prevents a sheet certificate or tolerance requirement from being applied incorrectly to pipe, or vice versa.

The quality review covers certificate chemistry and mechanical results, heat number, product dimensions, condition, surface, marking and packing. PMI, NDT, third-party inspection or project-specific tests are included only when the approved ITP requires them. 904L is a high-alloy austenitic grade developed for more demanding corrosion environments than standard 304L or 316L in some services. Its performance still depends on the actual acid or chloride system, concentration, temperature, aeration, contaminants, crevices, fabrication and cleaning. The grade should not be marketed as resistant to every chemical.

Buyers should provide the exact product standards, sheet or plate sizes, pipe route and dimensions, quantities, drawings, service medium, concentration, normal and upset temperatures, pressure, welding and post-fabrication cleaning requirements. State any NACE, pressure-code, corrosion-test, PMI, NDT, third-party and EN 10204 document requirements.
