S165M stainless steel 1.4418 stainless steel bar is a corrosion resistant hydropower bar (X4CrNiMo16-5-1) with excellent performance characteristics.
1.4418 is an austenitic stainless steel material with good corrosion resistance and mechanical strength. Its chemical composition includes 16-18% chromium, 1-1.5% nickel, and 0.1-0.3% molybdenum, providing excellent resistance to common corrosive media like acids and alkalis. With 0.03-0.06% carbon content, it achieves optimal hardness and strength.
The austenite phase structure gives 1.4418 excellent plasticity and machinability, allowing for various forming processes including heat treatment and cold working.
The precise chemical composition of 1.4418 stainless steel includes:
C | Cr | Ni | Mo | N | Si | Mn | P | S |
≤0.06% | 15.00%-17.00% | 4.00%-6.00% | 0.80%-1.50% | ≥0.02% | ≤0.70% | ≤1.50% | ≤0.040% | ≤0.015% |
1.4418 stainless steel has broad industrial applications due to its exceptional properties:
The austenite-ferrite structure provides excellent performance in both high and low temperature environments, with outstanding corrosion resistance in acidic and saltwater conditions. Proper heat treatment can further enhance its hardness and tensile strength.
